Lake Garda is the largest and lowest lying lake in Italy, at just 62 metres above sea level. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate, yet a 15min cable car ride from Malcesine lifts you to 6000ft on top of Monte Baldo. The scenery is spectacular with vineyards, olive groves and beautiful flowers. We tour round the lake to Sirmione, here you can see the largest Roman ruins in Italy. We travel to Verona, the setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, where we have included a city tour and leisure time. There is a full day in historic Venice - visit St Marks Square, the Doge's Palace, Basilica and the Bell Tower. We also take a trip into the famous Dolomite Mountains, with beautiful views, visiting the Ranon Plateau to see the earth stone pyramids. There is also leisure time for you to explore the local area around Torbole and Riva

HOTEL PICCOLO MONDO. Situated in the town of Torbole, on the eastern shore of picturesque Lake Garda, the family-run Piccolo Mondo offers excellent facilities in a friendly and attentive atmosphere. Set amidst luxuriant gardens with an olive grove, the hotel enjoys stunning views of the mountains. Facilities include a modern wellness centre with sauna, massage and beauty treatment rooms (charge). The large outdoor pool is shaded by tall trees while the indoor pool has a whirlpool. The restaurant is famous for its Italian, Mediterranean and Trentino food while also offering international fare. Every guestroom has a balcony and provides international standard amenities and comforts, including air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe, telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer and modern bathroom. For your convenience there is a lift in the hotel.
