Barony Castle, an imposing manor house, is located just 35 minutes south of Edinburgh on the edge of the Scottish borders and has magnificent views of the Tweed Valley. Barony Castle combines the warmth of Scottish hospitality, the elegance of a traditional manor and excellent facilities. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and fitness room and lounge with conservatory. For your convenience there is a lift to most floors.

    Welcome to Barony Castle
    Check in to your warm room and then join us in the lounge for traditional afternoon tea with all the trimmings.
    A beautifully prepared three course dinner followed by Turkish Delight and coffee awaits you in the restaurant, followed by a choice of joining in the Barony Quiz Night, or a game of Bingo.

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast
    6.30pm join us in the lounge for cocktails, then be piped into our Gala Ball by Pipe Major Charles Grey. A sumptuous dinner in a traditional Scots style is then followed by an evening of fun, dancing, comedy and all you would expect from a guid Scots night

    v New Years Day, 1st January 2012
    No need to rush, breakfast is served until 1pm and will include a large selection of additional items such as steaks, kedgeree and the likes.
    The Great Escape and other traditional New Year classics will be shown in the cinema during the afternoon, or for the more energetic join the fun in our famous treasure hunt.
    Dinner will be a carvery affair featuring prime rib of beef and whole Scottish salmon to name just a few.
    For those with a puff of energy left, there will be dancing in the Elibank to some traditional Scottish Fiddles
