Nestling alongside the River Torridge, Bideford is a thriving market town and a port with an active fishing industry. Enjoy a stroll along the tree-lined quay where you can watch the world go by or watch a local fishing boat land its catch. Excursions include Clovelly, a picturesque village with white washed houses clinging to the hillside, and the RHS Garden at Rosemoor near Great Torrington. We also travel through the stunning landscapes of Exmoor National Park visiting the medieval village of Dunster and along the scenic North Devon coast visiting Lynmouth Bay. For your convenience there is a lift in the hotel to most floors.

Hotel:

DURRANT HOUSE HOTEL. Dating back to the 1800's the Durrant House is located on the outskirts of Bideford overlooking the estuary. It has recently undergone extensive renovation to return it to its former glory. Dinner in the restaurant is homemade using as much local produce as possible. There is often entertainment in the ballroom and you can make use of the outdoor swimming pool as well as sauna and fitness room. For your convenience there is a lift to most floors.
