With its many planned gardens containing exotic plants, Wicklow is rightfully known as the Garden County of Ireland. This area is home to some of Irelands most beautiful scenery, with jagged cliffs, lush pastures and the "Wicklow Mountains". The town of Wicklow has strong ties to the fishing industry and the harbour is busy with local boats landing their catches. Our excursions include a full day in Dublin, where we have arranged a guided tour in the morning and leisure time in the afternoon. We travel to the picturesque village of Avoca, where you can see traditional hand weavers and discover Ballykissangel Country. We visit Enniskerry where we include entry to the amazing Powerscourt Gardens. These vast gardens incorporate many styles such as Italian & Japanese with rare plants and water features. We have also arranged a guide to join us on a train journey from Bray to Malahide, enjoying tea and scones along the way.

Hotel:

ESPLANADE HOTEL BRAY. This fine Victorian building is located in one of Ireland's most popular coastal resorts. The Esplanade boasts an exciting restaurant and resident's lounge with balcony overlooking the seafront. Many bedrooms have sea views and original features such as ornate fireplaces, verandas and stained glass windows. Only 19km to Dublin city centre and 23 minutes by local train, the Esplanade Hotel is ideally close to the attractions and interests of Dublin and Wicklow.
