Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland. A walled city of Viking origins it retains much of its medieval character together with the graceful buildings from its 18th century expansion. The streets contain a variety of attractions, including art galleries, museums and a great selection of retailers. Our excursions include the town of Kilkenny with its beautifully restored buildings and winding slipways and the town of New Ross, where thousands of emigrants left for America, including the grandparents of John F Kennedy. We travel through beautiful country-side along the south coast to Dunvargan and Youghal, a designated HeritageTown with a magnificent beach which stretches for 8 kilometres.

THE DOOLEY'S HOTEL - The Dooley's Hotel enjoys a quayside location in the centre of Waterford. This impressive hotel has been in the Dooley family for three generations and offers guests a very warm welcome. The stylish restaurant serves a selection of tempting dishes, including many customary favourites. In the evening you can relax with a quiet drink in the hotel bar. For your convenience there is a lift in the hotel.
