Waterford & Kilkenny

Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland. A walled city of Viking origins it retains much of its medieval character together with the graceful buildings from its 18th century expansion. The streets contain a variety of attractions, including art galleries, museums and a great selection of retailers. Our excursions include the town of Kilkenny with its beautifully restored buildings and winding slipways and the town of New Ross, where thousands of emigrants left for America, including the grandparents of John F Kennedy.
