Our tour today takes us toward Speyside and a visit to the Speyside Cooperage. Since 1947 the family owned business has produced the finest casks from the best American Oak. You can view the highly skilled coopers at work or enjoy the gift and coffee shop.
Continuing along Speyside we will visit The Glenlivet Distillery. In 1823, George Smith, a local farmer, set up a distillery on his farm near Minmore. Today the successor of his original distillery has the sole right to call its product "The Glenlivet" and the reputation of whisky produced in the glen extends world wide. After a tour of the distillery you can enjoy a sample of the product and enjoy some free time to visit the shop or enjoy a snack in the coffee shop.
