Troon, in South Ayrshire, is situated on the coast, with the Isle of Arran visible across the Firth of Clyde. This seaside town has a lot to offer with beautiful sandy beaches, open countryside and an old harbour, which serves a small fishing fleet and incorporates a modern marina. We have included entry to one of Scotland's best loved castles, Culzean Castle. Set in 600 acres of ground this impressive building is home to a fine collection of antiques and paintings. Within the grounds is a Deer Park, a walled garden, Victorian vinery and swan pond. We will visit Alloway, the birth place of our national bard, Robbie Burns. Sights here, include Burns Cottage, Auld Brig o'Doon, and 2011 sees the opening of a new �21m visitor centre.

Hotel:

THE SOUTH BEACH HOTEL - The South Beach is a privately owned family hotel, ideally situated facing the sea front. It is famed for its welcoming atmosphere, which makes you feel more like a friend than a visitor. The restaurant produces a wide range of traditional Scottish dishes using the best of local produce. Although there is no lift there are a number of ground floor rooms available.
